Become a Sustainability Ambassador! The aim of this program is to provide experiential learning opportunities for volunteers on the UTM campus to engage in sustainability programming for the wider campus and community. Based on the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Social Change Model of Leadership Development, and the Sustainability Triangle, volunteers will engage in opportunities to connect these themes through experiential initiatives.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to meaningfully participate in Sustainability Week, work with youth in the community through Let’s Talk Sustainability, as well as connect with global thought leaders in sustainability by supporting the Sustainability: Transdisciplinary Theory, Practice, and Action conference next October.

Volunteers will be trained in the foundations of sustainability and participate in reflection workshops and socials with their peers!

Time-commitment:

Volunteer completely around your schedule! Participate in weekly team meetings and socials with your peers in the program. The overall time commitment for the 2024-25 academic year would be around 40-60 hours.
