Bio
John graduated in 2019 from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science, specializing in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. He has been passionate about health and well-being from a young age and focuses on the improvement of life through food and lifestyle. He coordinated and directed community outreach programs with grade schools to educate children on nutrition, and healthy practices. John has conducted many research projects, from literature reviews on red meat in the human diet, to video logs investigating the viability, and sustainability of insect proteins. John enjoys translating the product development skills he acquired working as a Food Technologist to his hobby of making craft cider.
During his undergraduate studies, John completed an exchange program with Lund University in Sweden, invigorating his passion for sustainability and the importance of a circular economy. In his role as a sustainability consultant with a homebrewing supply store, John implemented many changes to reduce plastic waste, optimize packaging, and the overall carbon footprint of the business.
John is passionate about spending quality time with friends and family, and enjoys activities such as hiking, rock climbing, camping, cooking, and travelling.
