Muhib Kazmi completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an interdisciplinary minor in Sustainability. Under the esteemed supervision of Dr. Manzoor Qadir from the UN University, Muhib undertook a pioneering meta-analysis and literature review focused on the progression of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-based literature globally. His innovative comparison of SDG-related scholarly output across various world regions aimed to uncover disparities, trends, and focal points of research, highlighting his keen interest in sustainable transportation, energy resources, and integrated environmental management.
Muhib's academic journey was complemented by his active participation in the Sustainable Development Goals Student Pitch Competition, where he led his team to victory against over 20 student groups. Their project focused on enhancing the safety and accessibility of the Hamilton LRT for public transport users. Muhib's leadership in designing a safe, accessible, and green LRT/bus stop model demonstrated his commitment to promoting public transport use and active transportation. Additionally, he engaged in various initiatives and projects that underscored his dedication to sustainability, including volunteering for local environmental organizations and participating in community clean-up drives.
Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Muhib is a passionate traveler who recently explored the country of Turkey. His interests in history, geopolitics, and international relations are complemented by his love for playing tennis and his artistic talents in painting and Arabic calligraphy.
