Bio
Josh Osborne graduated from Western University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies. He specialized in Business Policy & Ethics, further focusing his studies on the intersection of the carbon market and corporate sustainability. During his studies Josh participated in the feasibility case competition, in which he, along with his group, created a product and business model for a zero plastic shampoo and conditioner container. In this competition he placed first in his class and finished respectfully within the broader school's competition.
At Western University, Josh took on several leadership roles within clubs and student groups. His largest role was as chapter president of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. A few highlights from this role include managing an annual budget of over $100,000, and overseeing a city-wide food drive which produced the single largest donation of the year to the London Food Bank. He was also elected to a Vice President position within the Interfraternity Council for 3 consecutive terms, serving a student body of over 1,100 and representing them at the Western University Student Council. The majority of Josh's work experience has been tied to outdoor education. He spent his earlier summers leading challenging canoe trips across Ontario. These trips spanned between 3 to 15 days in duration, in Algonquin Park, the French River, Temagami Provincial Park, and many more. The height of this position was a canoeing/hiking expedition along the Nahanni River in the Northwest Territories spanning 25 days. More recently, Josh served as Director of Junior Camps at Silver Lakes Golf & Country Club. These experiences fostered Josh's love and respect for the outdoors, driving him towards a career path aimed at protecting it through business.
In his free time Josh has always enjoyed sports, playing squash, golf, rugby and ski racing. Josh also has a keen interest in music, playing the trombone, piano and bagpipes, having placed in the top 3 in many bagpiping competitions. Josh spends his extended free time going on canoe trips, generally in either Temagami or Algonquin Provincial Parks.
