Bachelor of Business Administration (with Distinction), Management Specialist • University of Toronto
Bio
Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in Management, in 2017. Throughout her four-year undergraduate experience, Kaitlyn was heavily involved in extra-curricular activities ranging from intramural sports to academic societies. During her third year, Kaitlyn worked as a customer experience intern consultant for Bell Canada. Her summer was spent learning the telecommunications business, identifying gaps, creating executive presentations, and implementing projects to enhance the satellite TV customer experience. During her fourth year, Kaitlyn led the Student Management Association, academic society as the student body President. She supported her team of 17 classmates to plan and launch 23 events during the school year. These events were designed to support student professional development outside of the classroom and create opportunities to give back to local communities. Kaitlyn then graduated and continued her journey in the telecommunications industry with Bell.
Kaitlyn has spent the last four years taking on four unique roles at Bell. While working on small- and large-scale projects, the three most memorable ones encompassed elements of sustainability in them. She enjoyed growing the electronic signature program, which reduced the need for paper contracts in retail stores. She conducted over 30 stores visits to learn about printer toner waste and supported the implementation of an automated toner program that has the potential to save 500K a year in operational costs. The third project was launching an Earth Day campaign in 2021. This campaign targeted 400 retail stores, increasing awareness and participation in existing sustainable programs. Realizing where her passion lies, Kaitlyn decided to make a career change into the sustainability field to help change the climate change narrative for current and future generations.
With an ever-growing interest in the sustainability field, Kaitlyn enjoys spending her free time reading about the interconnectedness of social, environmental, and economic issues. Quality family time, physical activity, mindfulness, and traveling hold high importance in her life as well.
