Bio

Mary Jo Easley, a proud Hoosier (Indiana resident), graduated from Earlham College with an honors degree in Global Management and minors in Earth & Environmental Science and Environmental Sustainability. She is a fervent believer in experiential learning, having traveled to South Africa and Mozambique to study politics and human rights, England for marketing and urban design, and Aotearoa New Zealand for geology and environmental justice. Mary Jo is currently pursuing her MScSM at UTM, aiming to explore the intersection of business and sustainability.

During her undergraduate studies, Mary Jo conducted research on regenerative agriculture among Midwest farmers and assessed ecosystem services at the Cope Environmental Center in Centerville, Indiana. Her career spans small business, local government, and Fortune 1 (Walmart), driving her passion for integrating sustainability into decision-making across diverse sectors. Awarded the 2024-2025 Fulbright Canada Student title, Mary Jo’s research focus, "Consumers Today, Consumed by Climate Change Tomorrow: We Need Sustainable Business Now," propels her dedication at UTM and in her professional endeavors.

Outside her professional pursuits, Mary Jo enjoys golfing, hiking, cooking veggie-centric meals, and advocating for environmental stewardship in her community. She is also a self-proclaimed movie buff and will challenge anyone to a game of name that actor.
