Bio

Emma graduated from the University of Toronto in 2024 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, along with certificates in Global Affairs and Sustainability. Throughout her undergraduate education, she developed a keen interest in bridging environmental issues and international policy. She aims to build a career that unites the public and private sectors to promote sustainability both domestically and internationally.

Emma's academic and research pursuits reflect the evolving relationship between policy and the environment. Her coursework included researching various environmental policy issues, such as the government's response to the effects of climate change on tourism in Greece. She explored this topic during a UofT-sanctioned summer abroad program in Athens, Greece, in 2022. Additionally, she conducted an in-depth ethical analysis of international climate change agreements for a fourth-year seminar on the ethics of International Relations.

In the summer of 2023, Emma enhanced her research skills by participating in the Jackman-Scholars in Residence program. This experience involved a summer-long research project under the guidance of Professor Rie Kijima, focusing on analyzing and coding world education reform. Emma also has notable experience in customer service and childcare, which complements her academic background. She is eager to apply her skills to contribute to the sustainability movement and expand her knowledge in this area.

In her spare time, Emma enjoys hosting dinner parties and trying new recipes with family and friends. She also loves traveling to learn about new cultures and environments, often planning hikes and discovering new restaurants.
