Amruta is a graduate of Environment and Urban Sustainability from TMU with a passion for corporate sustainability strategy and data analysis. After graduation, she pursued business education in the context of sustainability and completed a Postgraduate Certificate with Honors in Sustainable Business Management from Seneca College. She also earned certifications in Project Management and Business Management to broaden her skillset. Her professional and research interests lie at the intersection of business and sustainability. Amruta believes that businesses can thrive in a meaningful and profitable way when sustainability is integrated as a core strategy rather than an afterthought. Her goal is to make sustainability accessible to all organizations without compromising business growth, and she hopes to achieve this by working with companies that share her passion for environmental responsibility.

Amruta has over two years of experience as a Business Analyst in the IT sector, where she analyzed business processes, identified opportunities for improvement, and implemented effective solutions. She has expertise in translating business requirements into technical specifications, conducting data analysis, and delivering insights to support strategic decision-making. Her dedication to learning and professional development has been recognized with company-wide awards such as ‘Employee with Most Growth’ and ‘Excellence in Documentation.’ She also served as a Project Team Lead at a student-led environmental organization, where she collaborated with businesses, universities, and NGOs to secure funding for multiple projects and events. During her time in Dubai, she briefly worked as a Business Consultant at a hydroponics startup, where she adapted the business model to the Middle Eastern market by analyzing demographic trends, market behavior, and cultural influences, ultimately helping the startup secure seed funding.

Currently, Amruta is a member of the management team for IMIRS, where she leads a team of 18 in publishing a graduate department issue. She oversees scope, timelines, and marketing efforts, increasing engagement and awareness of key sustainability topics. She also works as a Teaching Assistant and is part of the inaugural team of the Institute of Management and Innovation AI Club. Amruta has actively participated in case competitions, including the Systems Innovation Challenge by Innovation North, where she explored systems thinking frameworks to analyze complex problems and identify interconnections. She was also selected as a finalist in the Sustainable Innovation Challenge by Sobeys, where her team presented a fleet electrification strategy.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Amruta enjoys spending time in nature, reading, and dancing. She is a trained Indian classical Kathak dancer who finds joy in practicing and performing her art form.

Driven by her passion for sustainability, Amruta continually seeks opportunities to create a positive impact in both her personal and professional life.
