Her educational journey began in a quaint village before she moved to the city for advanced schooling. Inspired by her family's farming background and her active involvement in civil societies focused on sustainable living and environmental conservation, Harleen's academic pursuits reflect a deep appreciation for the environment and a passion for technology.
Harleen's professional journey is marked by diverse roles that showcase her technical proficiency and leadership capabilities. As a Software Engineer at LTIMindtree Limited, a global technology consulting firm, she contributed to various international projects, working with clients from UTC America, Otis Australia, and NedBank South Africa. She distinguished herself by designing advanced predictive sales models and digital solutions. Her leadership skills shone during the COVID-19 pandemic when she successfully steered her family's farm-to-plate restaurant. Her strategic approach—transitioning to online branding, implementing flexible staffing schedules, and focusing on organic, locally sourced ingredients—not only sustained operations but also empowered local communities, particularly female farmers, making a substantial economic impact on her hometown. Her proactive initiatives included promoting a circular economy and introducing innovative millet-based menu options.
