He resided in rural parts of India for 8 weeks as part of the experiential learning program, where he used 'participatory rural appraisal' tools such as social mapping, resource mapping, transect walks, problem matrix. Tushar worked in a diverse group to conduct the IFRI (International Forestry and Research Institute) survey to understand the resource-dependency pattern on the nearby reserve forest and revenue waste land. He analyzed the robustness of the institutional governance systems using IAD (Institutional Analysis and Development) framework and the findings were shared with the participants of the study.

He was responsible for drafting project documents in line with ‘land use & land use change’ & ‘energy efficiency’ guidance methodologies for issuance of Gold Standard emission reduction certificates. The theoretical knowledge of systems thinking, environmental economics and social justice, combined with practical experience made him identify the need to engage in the future with organizations driving finance towards sustainability.
Tushar loves to exchange ideas with new people, try different food and learn about new cultures. He devoted his down time between the university soccer team and the classical musical group. He spends any spare time left sketching, trekking and listening to podcasts.
