Event Overview
In recognition of Black Mental Health Day (March 3, 2025) and Black Mental Health Week (March 2–9, 2025), Elevate UTM: Celebrating & Empowering Black Wellness is dedicated to raising awareness about the impact of anti-Black racism on the mental health of Black students, staff, faculty, and the broader community. This event will provide space for movement, discussion, and reflection while highlighting resources and strategies that support Black wellness at UTM.
For its inaugural year, Elevate UTM embraces the theme "Moving Beyond the Mind," offering experiential learning opportunities that encourage participants to move, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations about mental and physical well-being.
Elevate UTM is a collaboration between the Department of Recreation, Athletics & Wellness and Black at UTM, made possible through the generous financial support of the Black Opportunities Fund and Black at UTM.
