Individual Support (1 on 1)

The Health & Counselling Centre utilizes a personal approach to care, understanding that students may require supports of varying intensity, depending on the needs at any given time. Thus, students are centrally involved in developing their personalized wellness plans and can work with our clinicians to direct their own care.

On an individual basis, our clinicians offer short-term, solution-focused counselling and therapy services. Students can access care on the same day their needs arise. We provide referrals to assist students in accessing resources in the community when complex and/or long-term care is needed. Call 905-828-5255 to make an appointment or visit us at DV 1152 (around the corner from the bookstore).

There are many reasons why someone might choose to access counselling services including:

  • Body image
  • Eating disorders
  • Self-esteem
  • Coming out
  • Transitioning
  • Family conflict
  • Relationships
  • Emotional or social concerns
  • Depression
  • Apathy
  • Exam anxiety
