Residence murals were created and implemented in 2017 to increase a sense of identity in our residence communities. Using our Colman Cup Mascots, 10 designs were created to reflect our SHRL branding and mascot animals. Since then, some murals have deteriorated from being outdoors. Our goal is to update them and reflect more of the student experiences, identities, and stories on them.
Call for Artists!
Studio X & SHRL are looking for artists to revamp UTM’s residence murals! We want to refresh these spaces to better reflect student experiences, identities, and stories.
- Who can apply? Open to all UTM students, alumni, past/present staff & faculty, with priority to those with residence experience
- What's involved? Submit a portfolio and short statement of interest - no residence-related work required!
- Perks? Artists will receive an honourarium for their work!
