What do you do?
As a Special Events Coordinator, my mission is to make my clients’ events goals a reality.

What is your favorite thing about UTM?
I love the nature and the UTM campus. It reminds me so much of the university I went to (and worked at for a brief time), just a slightly smaller version and with Canadian wildlife.

I went to Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. It’s 156 years old (one of the oldest Jesuit universities in the world) so the campus is picturesque and teeming with wildlife & history: ateneo.edu/admissions

What is the part of your role at UTM that you like the most?
The opportunity to work with a diverse range of events. My favorite part of event planning is being creative with solutions and strategies.

What do you like doing outside of work?
I love traveling, discovering new places, cultures, and food! But I also love exploring and finding hidden gems in my home city/province. Most of the time, I like being a homebody, reading or painting (when inspiration strikes). 

What is your favorite food?
I love food so I have lots of favorites. But now that I’m miles away from my family, Filipino food is my go-to. Cooking our family recipes makes me feel closer to them in a way.

FUN FACT
I have moved many time, to many places – from Manila to Regina, and now here in Mississauga – and, despite the thousands of miles I’ve travelled, I’m glad that my heart still leads me to “being of service to others”.
