To identify career options:
- Use My Career Centre to view the information and activities in “Assess Yourself”
- Review Careers by Major to see some sample options that relate to possible programs
- Make an appointment to talk with a Career Counsellor who can help me identify my skills, values, personal qualities and interests and how those combine for potential careers
- Browse the Career Resource Library in the Student Services Hub to learn more about career areas; ask a Career Assistant for help
- Participate in our Job Shadow Program and In the Field events to talk with professionals in your field of interest
To build skills:
- Decide on the kinds of skills you want to develop in your field of choice
- Use the Resume Resources webpages to develop strong documents
- Have a resume and/or cover letter critique
- Check out the On Campus Opportunities booklet to see jobs on campus
- Attend the Get Hired Fair (September and January) to meet with employers
- Log onto the CLNx to view job postings for part-time, summer, volunteer opportunities available on-campus and with off-campus employers
- Review the Job Interview Resources webpage; book a mock employment/volunteer interview with an Employment Strategist on CLNx

- Review the Choosing Your Program webpage
- Attend a Program Selection and Career Options workshop & review registration information with the Office of the Registrar
