The Career Centre uses the model below to organize our services.
Making a career decision can seem complicated and overwhelming. Whether you are in your first or final year, use this model to learn about the six areas of career planning and relevant career resources.
What is our Career Centre model?
Our Career Centre model provides a framework to help you reflect and decide, assess yourself, explore careers, gain experience, express skills, and pursue learning. The purpose of the model is to help you get started and guide you on your career development journey. The model is flexible and can be tailored to your individual needs – you decide where to start and where to go next.
Your career journey may not be a linear process. It is a lifelong process of continuous improvement and challenging oneself. When using the model, consider it with an open mind in the same way you have embraced your studies with openness to new ideas, experiences, hope, resilience, exploration, and comfort with uncertainty. This mindset inspires action which may lead to unimagined possibilities. Come back to the model to reflect on and decide your career goals whenever you need to.
