Our trained Career Assistants—fellow students who’ve been where you are—are here to help! Whether you're exploring career or program options, preparing for job or internship applications, or considering grad school, they offer quick tips, introduce you to helpful resources, and provide personalized guidance to help you move forward with confidence.
Career Assistants are available to chat from 10AM to 4PM behind the Hello Desk, located in the Student Services Hub, Main Floor Davis. You can also attend the drop-in sessions or book a 30-minute individual appointment to get further support.

Aarushi

Statistics and Computer Science
Year 2
Aarushi is a Vice President at the Women in Science and Computing club and an associate at UTM Mathematical and Computational Sciences Society. She is interested in all-things-tech and is quite passionate about data science and machine learning. Talk to Aarushi about how to get involved on campus, program related questions or exploring career paths!
Abdi

Commerce and Communication, Culture, Information & Technology (CCIT)
Year 4
Abdi is a Co-Lead Career Assistant at the Career Centre, where he has supported students in their career development and exploration for over three years. He has experience in the cultural industries with a background in youth mentorship and educational program development. He also works as a freelance key animator in the Japanese animation industry, with a passion for education and animation. Ana

Biology Specialist Program
Year 2
As a member of Erindale College Special Response Team and volunteer with student and external organizations, Ana is working towards her goal of medical school. Khyati

Economics, Mathematics and Political Science, and a Certificate in Sustainability
Year 4
Khyati also works as a Residence don with UTM Residence. Throughout her time at UTM, she has been a member of different clubs such as the Undergraduate Economics Council, Residence Council and Business Diversity League. She also served as a Director for the Undergraduate Economics Council at UTM. Monique completed Bachelor of Science in Biology for Health Sciences (major) with Psychology and Education Studies (minors) at UTM. During her time at UTM, Monique was involved in several student organizations, volunteer, and work-study experiences. Currently, she is the Secretary of the Canadian Black Nurses Alliance-UofT and a Chapter Programming Committee Member of Project Sunshine St. George Campus . Tooba has hands-on experience from internships and research roles, and a passion for data analysis and financial management. As a Co-Lead Career Assistant at the Career Centre and Internals Associate at the Undergraduate Economics Council, Tooba has organized events, provided personalized career guidance to students, and collaborated with various departments to create meaningful opportunities.
