A Call to Action Grid (CTA) displays a collection of Call to Action blocks:

Creating a Call to Action Grid
- Go to Manage > Structure > Custom Block Library
- Click Add Custom Block
- Choose Call to Action Grid
- Provide a Title
- Provide an CTA Grid Layout
- Warning: This option only applies if the grid is placed in a main area that is full width (ie a layout with an empty side bar)
- Provide a Call To Actions
- Search for Call to Action blocks you've created in the Custom Block Library
- Warning: Inline CTA Blocks cannot be referenced
- You can add as many as you want
- Save
Editing a Call to Action Grid
- Go to Manage > Structure > Custom Block Library
- Find the Call to Action Grid you want to edit
- Tip: Use the filter to refine the list and make your search easier by setting the Block type to Call to Action Grid and/or adding a keyword from the title.
- Once you find the block you wish to edit, click Edit
- You will be taken to the block edit screen where you can make your desired changes
- Changes made to the contents of the block will be reflected in all instances of the block
- Save
Deleting a Call to Action Grid
Please note that deleting content is permanent and irreversible.
- Go to Manage > Structure > Custom Block Library
- Find the Call to Action Grid you want to edit
- Tip: Use the filter to refine the list and make your search easier by setting the Block type to Call to Action Grid and/or adding a keyword from the title.
- Once you find the block you wish to edit, click the arrow down button next to edit and click Delete
- This will only delete the grid itself, not the CTAs in it.
- You will be taken to a confirmation page. Click Delete to confirm.
- Warning: As with all deletions in Drupal, deleting pages is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Save
Deleting a block does not automatically unplace / remove it from the page it was placed in. The block will not be visible to public view. Editors will see a warning for a missing block when they edit the layout and should remove it to clean up.
Placement
Placing and unplacing a Call to Action Grid in basic pages is the same process as any block.
Placing a Call to Action Grid
- Visit the page you wish to place the Call to Action Grid in
- If you are logged in and able to edit, you should see the local task tabs and be able to click Layout
- In the area you want the block to appear, click Add Block
- The list of available blocks will then appear at the right hand side of the page. Search for the Call to Action Grid you want to place
- Optional: Configure the block
- With your block placed, click the contextual edit button (Pencil Icon) for the block and select configure.
- Make your desired configurations
- Click Update
- Click Save Layout
Configuring a placed Call to Action Grid
- Visit the page you the Call to Action Grid you wish to configure is in
- If you are logged in and able to edit, you should see the local task tabs and be able to click Layout
- Hover over the block you wish to configure and click the contextual edit button (Pencil Icon) and click Configure
- Make your desired configurations
- Click Update
- Click Save Layout
Unplacing / Removing a placed Call to Action Grid
- Visit the page you the Call to Action Grid you wish to remove is in
- If you are logged in and able to edit, you should see the local task tabs and be able to click Layout
- Hover over the block you wish to remove and click the contextual edit button (Pencil Icon) and click Remove Block
- It will simply remove the block from the page
- You will be prompted to confirm. Click Remove to confirm
- Click Save Layout

- Visit the page you wish to place the Inline Call to Action Grid in
- If you are logged in and able to edit, you should see the local task tabs and be able to click Layout
- In the area you want the block to appear, click Add Block
- Click Create custom block
- Choose Call to Action Grid
- Fill in the fields and configure as desired
- Click Add Block
- Click Save Layout
Editing & Configuring an Inline Call to Action Grid
- Visit the page you the Inline Call to Action Grid you wish to edit and configure is in
- If you are logged in and able to edit, you should see the local task tabs and be able to click Layout
- Hover over the block you wish to configure and click the contextual edit button (Pencil Icon) and click Configure
- Make your desired content edit configurations
- Click Update
- Click Save Layout
Deleting an Inline Call to Action Grid
Please note that deleting content is permanent and irreversible.
- Visit the page you the Inline Call to Action Grid you wish to delete is in
- If you are logged in and able to edit, you should see the local task tabs and be able to click Layout
- Hover over the block you wish to remove and click the contextual edit button (Pencil Icon) and click Remove Block
- Warning: This will remove the block from the page and delete the cta grid. As with all deletions in Drupal, this is permanent and can't be undone.
- You will be prompted to confirm. Click Remove to confirm
- Click Save Layout

- Warning: This is only applied if the CTA grid is placed in a full width container in the layout builder. This option is ignored and the grid is forced to three columns if the main content area's max size is 3/4. (it the right sidebar has content and is occupying 1/4 of the page).

- References existing Hero Image blocks
- You can add as many as you want
- Inline CTA blocks cannot be referenced. Only CTA blocks created in the custom block library can be referenced.
- You can rearrange by dragging and dropping each field
Configuration
Configurations and overrides for a specific block instance. Overrides set here will remain even if the actual block's content has been changed in the library.
- Title
- The block's default description can be overridden here to serve as a title. If overridden, it will remain even if the block's description is changed in the library.
- Display Title
- Toggles the display of the title on / off
Best Practices
- Be mindful of the amount of CTA's that are in a single grid
- If the specific set of CTA's is specific to the page, use inline CTA Grids so you can manage it's content within the page
