The Information Security department at the University of Toronto Mississauga is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy and security of information and electronic resources essential to our mission of teaching and research.  

Our comprehensive risk management program focuses on protecting individuals, data, and digital assets through a collaborative approach.  

What We Do 

Information Security is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to the use of information technology. We implement measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the University's digital assets. Key initiatives include: 

  • Conducting security assessments and risk analyses 
  • Developing and enforcing security policies and best practices 
  • Providing cybersecurity awareness training and resources 
  • Monitoring and responding to security incidents
