SOP-recognized student groups have a number of responsibilities to uphold, which includes abiding by policies and guidelines outlined by the University. These policies and guidelines contribute to creating a safer and more inclusive campus community for all members and exist to enhance the student experience.

In addition, student organizations are also required to follow the UTM Table & Room Booking Guidelines as well as the Chartwells Catering Guidelines for on-campus events.
