Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to announce that former Mississauga mayor Hazel McCallion has accepted a year-long appointment as a special advisor here at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
In her new role with the university, our longtime friend and advocate will advise me on matters relating to the strategic development of the university. She will also lend her expertise to creating new courses, working with UTM’s Institute for Management and Innovation to develop a new master’s degree in urban innovation and development, and contributing to a new non-credit training course for those aspiring to enter public service.
