OSAP Funding for Micro-Credentials

The Ontario Student Assistance Program now offers funding for Micro-Credentials. This new resource is part of Ontario’s micro-credentials strategy, helping learners access more opportunities to train or upskill for in-demand jobs through loans and grants. This micro-credential benefit refers specifically to short, professional development programs like those offered by IMIx Executive Programs.

How to Apply

Learners are responsible for understanding and abiding by all IMIx application policies and OSAP's eligibility requirements and terms.

  1. Visit the OSAP Micro-Credentials website to review OSAP information and application instructions.
  2. Once you have selected a program, register for the program through the IMIx website. Please note: you will be required to pay the fee upfront in order to complete your registration.  If/when funding is approved, you will get reimbursed.
  3. Log in to your OSAP account (or register an account if you do not have one) to apply for the funding. The process requires you to fill out a form from the University of Toronto Enrolment Services, which is available here: https://uoft.me/OSAPMicro-credential. The form required full name, date of birth, program name, and the program's study period, including both start and end dates.

Once your form is received, IMIx will confirm the information that you have submitted is correct and confirm your registration status.

Note: IMIx does not process any OSAP related applications. The University Registrar’s Office will process and verify all OSAP for Micro-credentials applications and release any eligible funding.
