The University of Toronto has proudly partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to offer a program that aims to build the governance and management knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic capabilities of doctors, nurses, and healthcare managers, and enhance their ability to address risks, challenges, and opportunities in African healthcare. As part of this initiative, the Institute for Management & Innovation’s (IMI) Executive Programs unit, IMIx, is offering a nine-month online Certificate of Effective Healthcare Management.
IMIx Certificate of Effective Healthcare Management
The Mastercard Foundation is offering full scholarship funding to learners through select partner institutions in Africa to participate in this innovative programming opportunity. The Certificate of Effective Healthcare Management will be delivered online via Zoom in the evening one night per week (Wednesdays) to participants residing in Africa.
Who is this program for?
The program will be offered from Toronto to a cohort of up to 50 managers, administrators, doctors and/or nurses who are working in the healthcare industry and are alumni of, or currently working in, a healthcare organization (i.e., hospital, government health agency, or health unit/clinic). Priority will be given to applicants who are affiliated with one or more of the following African Higher Education Health Collaborative partner universities and collaborating institutions:
- Addis Ababa University
- African Institute for Mathematical Sciences
- African Leadership University
- Amref Health/Amref International University
- Ashesi University
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
- Moi University
- University of Cape Town
- Equity Group Foundation
This program is brought to you by the University of Toronto in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The selected participants will receive a full scholarship that covers all tuition costs associated with participating in this program.
