Graduate Lounges at UTM

UTM Grad Lounge

The UTM Graduate Lounge is located in the William G. Davis Building Room DV 2068B. The lounge is open to all UTM-affiliated graduate students via T-Card access.

IMI Grad Lounge

The IMI Grad Lounge is located on the first floor of the Innovation Complex in Room KN 121. The lounge is open to UTM Professional Masters students via T-Card access.


UTM Graduate Student Associations

At UTM, there are numerous graduate student associations including those that have UTM representatives at the tri-campus level. The list of graduate student associations provided here is not an exhaustive list.

University of Toronto Mississauga Association of Graduate Students (UTMAGS)

UTMAGS is a graduate student association representing all MSc, MA, MBiotech, MMI, BMC, and PhD students affiliated at UTM. UTMAGS represents graduate students at committees and councils and organizes social events.

IMI Student Council (IMISC)

IMISC is a graduate student led group comprised of representatives from 6 IMI programs: MMPA, MMI, MBiotech, MScSM, MUI, and MScBMC. IMISC is committed to furthering the student experience by offering cross disciplinary interactions and conversations.

Biology Graduate Student Society (BGSS)

The BGSS represents all graduate students within the Department of Biology at UTM.

Chemical and Physical Sciences Graduate Student Association (CPS GSA)

The CPS GSA represents all graduate students within the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences at UTM. 


UTM Student Services

Office of the Vice-Dean, Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs

The Office of the Vice-Dean, Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs is located within the Office of the Dean at UTM. The Office provides assistance in navigating graduate student inquiries and serves as the main point of contact for graduate awards, campus affiliation, and  graduate resources on campus. 

UTM Accessibility Services

UTM's Accessibility Services helps graduate students with education-related accommodations for diagnosed physical, mental, learning or other disabilities. Experienced advisors work with students on accommodations and referrals for psychoeducational assessments.

UTM Centre for Student Engagement

UTM’s Centre for Student Engagement can link you with volunteer opportunities on campus and in the broader community. Graduate students’ involvement in such activities can be documented through the university’s co-curricular record (CCR).

UTM Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office (EDIO)

UTM's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office facilitates equity and human rights related professional development, community engagement gatherings, and systemic change initiatives. The EDIO offers confidential assistance on addressing human rights discrimination or harassment concerns, understanding university equity policies, and mobilizing inclusion strategies.

UTM Health and Counselling Centre (HCC)

UTM's Health and Counselling Centre provides medical care through a team of physicians, nurses, counsellors, and health educators. The HCC also supports graduate wellness retreats, graduate-specific workshops, and a graduate wellness peer collective.

UTM Indigenous Centre (IC)

UTM's Indigenous Centre provides service delivery, programming, and support to Indigenous graduate students. The IC works to build lasting and meaningful relationships with surrounding Indigenous communities. The IC also hosts gatherings and cultural programming for UTM's Indigenous members and provides a welcoming and inclusive space for future Indigenous students.

UTM International Education Centre (IEC)

UTM's International Education Centre offers in-bound services to students coming from abroad, such as 1-on-1 immigration and transition advising, employment strategy support, and mentorship; and out-bound services for students exploring study and research opportunities outside of Canada.

Recreation, Athletic and Wellness Centre (RAWC)

The Recreation, Athletics and Wellness Centre is a state-of-the-art athletic facility, providing multiple spaces for various forms of sport, fitness, and recreational activities.

UTM Student Housing and Residence Life

UTM's Student Housing and Residence Life offers a graduate and professional student housing community and a student-family housing community.


Tri-Campus Student Services

Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Office

The Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Office provides services to support the fostering of environments that are intentionally racially diverse and inclusive through the advancement of equitable practices, education and training and the provision of complaints resolution supports on matters of race, faith and intersecting identities as guided by the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

Community Safety Office

The Community Safety Office provides short-term support and assistants to whose who have experienced personal safety concerns including stalking and harassment, bullying and intimidation, threats, intimate partner violence, family violence, and workplace conflict and volatile behaviour.

Family Care Office

The Family Care Office provides access to confidential guidance, Resources, referrals, educational programming, and advocacy on family-related issues

Sexual and Gender Diversity Office

The Sexual and Gender Diversity Office offers programming, events, and resources. The Sexual and Gender Diversity Office is also available for education, training, and confidential 2SLGBTQ+ consultations, support, and advice.

Sexual Violence and Prevention Support Centre

The Sexual Violence and Prevention and Support Centre supports those who have been affected by sexual violence or sexual harassment. The Sexual Violence and Prevision and Support Centre offers confidential, non-judgmental, client-centered services to help individuals understand, access, and navigate supports such as counselling, medical services, academic or workplace accommodations, financial aid and legal aid.
