The Space

The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is located on the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit - a legacy we strive to continually honor. Nestled in a protected forest that overlooks the Credit River, we share our campus with wildlife like deer, foxes, salmon, red-tailed hawk, and hundreds of other animal and insect species. The campus provides opportunities for land-based learning, relaxation, and recreation, with features such as our Indigenous tipi and teaching lodge, extensive biking and hiking trails, and proximity to Erindale Park

UTM is located within Mississauga, Canada’s seventh largest city and one of the most diverse regions in the world. Mississauga offers cuisine from around the globe, a wide range of cultural and recreational activities, and transportation connections to Toronto and surrounding communities that UTM affiliated students can enjoy fare-free.

Graduate students at UTM have numerous opportunities to connect with peers both within and outside their programs of study, as well as with faculty, librarians, and staff who are dedicated to supporting their academic and professional journeys.

Graduate-specific groups at UTM include:

  • University of Toronto Mississauga Graduate Student Association (UTMAGS) advocates for graduate students at UTM and builds graduate community on campus.
  • Departmental graduate groups smaller, discipline-specific groups that offer academic and social engagement for students within individual departments.
  • Tri-Campus Student Groups are organizations that span the University of Toronto’s three campuses, providing graduate students with opportunities to collaborate, network, and participate in cross-campus initiatives.
