UPDATE: Notice of Campus-Wide Borehole Drilling, continuing until January 3, 2025

UPDATE:

Investigative activities related to Storm, Sanitary and Water Upgrades have been extended from the December 16 start date and will now continue throughout the holiday break.  This investigative work will involve borehole drilling on campus roads and walkways until January 3, 2025.  During this period, the work will take place in multiple locations throughout the UTM campus.

 

REASON:

This investigative work is required to access current conditions of UTM infrastructure below grade to plan for adequate upgrades.

 

WHERE and WHEN:

Continuing from December 16th, 2024 to January 3, 2025, the work will take place between the hours 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The locations for the work: The Collegeway, Residence Road, Outer Circle, Inner Circle, Middle Road, roadways in Parking Lots 4 & 8 as well as the 5 Minute Walk. 

Please refer to the attached map for specific areas across the campus.

 

HOW THIS WILL AFFECT YOU:

 

Large Vehicles will be on site to perform Borehole drilling sequentially from one location to the next, with an estimated duration of 2.5-3 hours per borehole. Only one small location of the roadway/walkway will be affected at any one time.  Construction signage will be placed on parts of the affected roadways, and work areas demarcated with cones.
