We are sharing a message from the City of Mississauga about the next stage of continuing roadwork near campus that may impact your commute to campus due to lane reductions.
As always, we encourage our community to consider sustainable ways to get to campus such as public transit to reduce the volume of single-passenger vehicle use to campus and to review detour routes if recommended by the City during the project.

City of Mississauga Roadwork Information, Update as of December 30, 2024
WHAT:
Bridge Rehabilitation Construction at Burnhamthorpe Road West, east of Mississauga Road over the Credit River
WHEN:
Post Stage-Three Construction begins in late January, continuing to Spring, 2025
HOW THIS WILL IMPACT YOU:
The bridge rehabilitation project on Burnhamthorpe Road West over the Credit River is
substantially complete.
The north bridge remains open. The south bridge will reopen in early January 2025, as the
contractor will be paving temporary asphalt to allow the south bridge to remain open during
the winter months.
The contractor will return in the spring of 2025 to complete construction
activities that require warmer temperatures on the south bridge (eastbound traffic), which will
take approximately three (3) weeks. This work includes permanent waterproofing and paving
operations. During this time, traffic will be detoured onto the north bridge (westbound traffic)
with one lane in each direction, which is similar to the current traffic configuration. Please
follow the posted traffic signs on‐site during this spring work.
This minor change in scheduling will help ensure the long‐term quality of the bridge
construction work.
Travelers along Burnhamthorpe Road West should anticipate construction-signage and potential traffic delays.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
