Please see the below notice for an upcoming planned maintenance.

WHERE:

William G. Davis Building 

WHAT:  

Planned Maintenance of Fire Alarm System, starting Thursday

WHEN:

Thursday, April 3 - Monday, April 14, 2025

TIME: 

8AM-4PM, each day 

REASON:  


Maintenance of Fire Alarm System, including repairs and replacement of damaged devices. This work will address system deficiencies identified during routine maintenance. 

Fire alarm systems are required to remain in operating condition 24/7 by the Ontario Fire Code and referenced regulations therein.

 

HOW THESE CHANGES WILL IMPACT YOU:


There will be no audible testing during this time period. All deficiencies requiring audible testing for verification will be conducted at a later date.

Work will be taking place within stairwells, offices, and labs. Please be cautious of contractors working on ladders within the stairwells. Those whose offices & labs are impacted will be reached out to directly. 

In the event of an actual fire during the test, Fire Watch personnel will be onsite to help manage any needed emergency action.
