The Theatre of Science

You’re warmly invited to a new series which will take place starting this fall on the UTM campus.

Join curators Madeleine Mant (Department of Anthropology) and Martin Revermann (Department of Historical Studies and English & Drama) on the UTM campus for The Theatre of Science — the 2024-25 UTM / JHI Annual Seminar series.

Over the coming months, they’ll welcome guest experts for panel discussions, lectures, and workshops, where they’ll discuss a range of topics covering everything from theatre and the environment, Indigenous science, and Mobility/Disability and performance, to theatre and math, medicine, physics, and more.

This series is free, in person, and open to all. Lunch will be available from 12:30 p.m. onwards. Please register for each seminar in advance.

The Theatre of Science series kicks off on Friday, September 20 at 1 p.m. with a distinguished lecture and workshop with Canadian playwright (and climate activist) Chantal Bilodeau. Bilodeau will deliver a lecture accompanied by short performances/ scene studies prepared by undergraduate acting students.
