Sandra Puvaca (she/her) is the Assistant to the Director at the Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy (ISUP). In her role, Sandra supports the Director and leadership team in the facilitating of academic and research initiatives, ensuring efficient operations in the department, and planning and execution of ISUP’s scholarly events.

Sandra is the first point of contact for ISUP faculty and serves as the Institute’s main resource for inquiries related to academic HR policies and procedures. She also oversees faculty recruitment, review and promotion processes, manages ISUP communications and event marketing, and plays an active role in fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and well-supported environment for faculty, students, and staff.

Sandra joined the University of Toronto Mississauga in 2014 and has held a variety of roles across campus, including with the Department of Recreation, Athletics and Wellness, and Student Recruitment & Admissions. She holds a Computer Programming and Analysis Diploma from Seneca College and is currently pursuing undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Sandra brings a positive, enthusiastic, and solutions-oriented approach to her work. She is passionate about supporting others and takes pride in contributing to a welcoming and inclusive academic community. In her free time, she enjoys nature walks, dancing, reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
