Brooke Ramsey joined the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre in 2025 as the Administrative and Communication Assistant. Originally from Nova Scotia, Brooke completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Cape Breton University and brings experience from a range of student service and support roles at the secondary and post-secondary levels around Cape Breton Island. Brooke’s previous work has focused on career development, academic advising, peer facilitation, interpersonal and public speaking, and event coordination with Nova Scotia Works and CBU. 

In her role at the RGASC, Brooke supports day-to-day operations and programs, and assists in developing and creating content to spread the word throughout UTM about activities and events happening at the RGASC. 

Brooke is passionate about uplifting and creatively engaging with the students, faculty, staff, and colleagues she supports, championing collaboration and effective communication as the keys to success for a meaningful experience in academia and one’s career. 

In her free time, Brooke loves attending live theatre and concerts, spending time with loved ones, and engaging with stories and worlds through video games, books, and films.
