Lilia Topouzova and the ICCIT host "Lyd in Exile: Conversations on Film, Exile, and Speculative Imaginaries"
November 15, 2024, 12:00pm–4:00pm, CDRS (MN3230), University of Toronto Mississauga
Join us on for an immersive afternoon of storytelling and cinematic exploration featuring a screening of Lyd, a film directed by Rami Yunis and Sarah Friedland. The film delves into profound themes of exile, identity, and resistance.
After the screening, ICCIT professor Lilia Topouzova will moderate a panel discussion with the two directors. This discussion will be followed by an interactive Q&A session and a hands-on-workshop focused on the role of speculative filmmaking.
This event is presented by the ICCIT's Anti-Racism Committee as part of the ICCIT PROfessional Series. Register today on EventBrite.
