Hazel's paper, "Exposing Disinformation: How news media narratives shape xenophobia against Venezuelan migrants in Peru" is a critical discourse analysis of two major news outlets' framing of stateless migrant populations in Peru.

The The Laidlaw Scholars Leadership & Research Programme is a competitive, fully-funded undergraduate research programme that takes place over 20 months. It includes two six-week summer projects, one of which involves travel. Laidlaw Scholars can present a global annual conference in their second year.
