The Theatre of Science, UTM/JHI Seminar Series with Prof. Martin Revermann

Theatre of Science

The Theatre of Science Seminar Series at the University of Toronto Mississauga is transforming how science and theatre interact, bringing together scholars, students, and community members across disciplines and generations. Organized by professors Martin Revermann (Historical Studies) and Madeleine Mant (Anthropology) and funded by the UTM/JHI Annual Seminar, the series combines lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and performances to examine topics like environmental theatre, Indigenous science, mobility, and disability. Highlights include collaborations with playwrights, actors, and researchers to explore pressing issues through an academic and emotional lens, fostering a vibrant, interdisciplinary learning environment. Revermann and Mant’s innovative approach empowers student participation and cross-disciplinary dialogue, exemplifying the university's potential to inspire meaningful connections and groundbreaking research.

Tanya Rohrmoser recently wrote about the Seminar on the website for the Office of the Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation and the JHI featured it on their newsletter.
