Humans Are Wired to Learn Through Gaming
Educators are using everything from Minecraft to Dungeons and Dragons to enhance education for students of all types.

The augmented reality program, designed at Yale School of Medicine, was one of the many teaching innovations on display at Serious Play, a games-and-learning conference held this past summer at U of T Mississauga.
More than 300 scholars attended the event to hear about pedagogical applications for gaming, including how to use the classic role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons to encourage problem solving, and Minecraft, an online game, to connect students with Indigenous traditions.
