COURSE DESCRIPTION
An Individual Research Project is an intensive laboratory or applied research project for students who seek training and/or exposure complementary to that provided for by our regular course offerings. If interested, a student is required to obtain prior consent from the Faculty Supervisor. Since the qualification criteria vary considerably depending on the nature of the project, it is highly recommended to contact a potential supervisor well in advance (at least one semester in advance) so that you can meet all qualifications in time.
Students are expected to gain intermediate to advanced research experiences, which may include but not limited to the same activities as the research volunteer and ROP positions and:
- Designing a study
- Analyzing Data
- Writing an APA-styled report
- Presenting the results of the project
Prerequisites: PSY201H5/equivalent, 1.0 FCE in PSY at the 300 level, AGPA of 3.0
ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Complete and submit the enrollment form on or before deadlines below. Once approved, the course will be entered to ACORN by the department.
- FALL TERM - first week of September
- WINTER TERM - first week of January
- SUMMER TERM - end of April
