Objective:
The objective of this project is to explore how recent immigrants to Peel Region are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated public health responses (such as workplace and school closures). In particular, this project examines how structural inequalities shape health outcomes for racialized and immigrant populations in Peel Region.
Methods
Interview data from Peel Region residents is currently being analyzed to explore the impacts of the pandemic. Key patterns and themes in the interviews related to healthcare accessibility, economic and workplace structures, and access to community networks are being identified.
