Objective
This research explores the lived experiences of Black residents in the GTA by investigating how the intersection of social, economic and cultural factors affect COVID-19 risk exposure, access to care and vaccine uptake.
Methods
The research adopts a multi-scalar and qualitative research design to examine the role of power relations in achieving global health equity, the embodiment of the COVID-19 virus in communities experiencing high levels of vulnerability, and its impacts on population wellbeing.
- Key informant interviews with representatives of community organizations using purposive sampling
- In-depth interviews will be undertaken with community members (adults,18+ of all gender identities)
