The Research Opportunity Program (ROP) allows you to work closely with a professor in a research project during your second, third or fourth year.
The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences offers ROP courses in Computer Science, Mathematics and Applied Statistics. Course codes and level of instruction vary from 299Y5, 399Y5 and 499Y5. Check the Academic Calendar in the specific program area to see which course codes are offered. Be sure to also check individual program requirements to determine which (if any) ROP courses are counted towards MCS programs.
Participation in the program requires an application and departmental approval. For more information, visit the Research Opportunity Program website.
