Teaching Reduction University of Toronto Fellowship (TR-UTF)

The Teaching Reduction University of Toronto Fellowship provides financial support toward stipend. The main benefit of the TR-UTF is that the TA obligation is reduced over the year the award is tenable. Students without TR-UTF support are required to complete approximately 200 hours of TA over the year. Students with one unit of TR-UTF ($5000), however, are required to complete only 100 hours of TA for the year.

Value and duration

The TR-UTF is typically awarded in one unit ($5000). Three equal installment cheques are issued directly to the student, usually in September, January (assuming a $0 balance in the registration system, ROSI) and May.
