The Regular University of Toronto Fellowship provides financial support toward stipend. All students within the funded cohort receive R-UTF support, except for students who hold a major award (e.g., NSERC, OGS, OGSST). Students with R-UTF are required to complete approximately 200 hours of TA over the year. The R-UTF does not reduce the TA obligation.
Value and duration
The R-UTF is typically awarded in one unit (with a minimum value of $4000).
In 2010-2011, the R-UTF value was of $6,500.
Three payments are made through, usually in September, January (assuming no outstanding balance through the registration system, ROSI) and May.
Eligibility
- There is no restriction with respect to citizenship or status in Canada.
- Students who have completed at least one session of graduate school in the Department of Chemistry at University of Toronto.
