Please note that Summer ACE@UTM 2024 will be offered primarily in-person. The program will run from from July 2 until August 23, 2024. 

We highly recommend the Summer program for most students as it allows them to complete the language requirements prior to beginning their academic studies in September. We encourage interested students to complete their registration as soon as possible to reserve their space in the program, as spaces fill up quickly. A waitlist will open up when the program becomes full.

Academic English Course 

All Summer ACE@UTM students will complete the Academic English Level 60 course. The final grade in this course will determine whether the English Language requirement for the University of Toronto has been satisfied. It will also determine your eligibility to take courses at U of T Mississauga in the Fall-Winter session. Students in Summer ACE@UTM attend this course daily, Monday to Friday, for 4 hours per day. 
 

ACE+ Programming 

This additional programming offered exclusively to ACE@UTM students is led by our ACE@UTM Peer Leaders, who are successful upper year UTM students. Through ACE+ we offer sessions on choosing and enrolling in courses, how to get involved in student life, understanding the many support services available at UTM, academic skill development, cultural competency training and more. The goal of ACE+ is to help provide you with additional support, as you prepare for and begin your studies at UTM, by focusing on building social connections, developing additional academic skills and helping to familiarize you with UTM. Students who complete all ACE+ sessions will receive a notation of completion on their University of Toronto Co-curricular record (CCR).
 

All-Inclusive ACE@UTM

If you are interested in living in one of our convenient, safe, and comfortable on-campus student residences during the Summer ACE@UTM program, you will have the opportunity to register for our all-inclusive ACE@UTM option. Simply indicate your interest in the initial ACE@UTM registration, you will then be provided with the opportunity to register for on-campus housing, at an additional cost. This additional fee will include a room and additional support & social programming through the Department of Student Housing and Residence Life. Meal Plans are also available (not mandatory) at an additional cost. Students who take advantage of this opportunity, tend to perform higher overall in the ACE@UTM program. Awards

We are proud to offer financial awards to successful Summer ACE@UTM students. The Awards Committee will select students who have achieved the highest grades, and who have demonstrated excellent attendance and engagement in all components of the program. The value of the award will be credited to the recipients' ACORN accounts, and will be applied toward the recipients' tuition fees for the upcoming Fall-Winter session.
