Industry engagement is an important component of the MScSM Program, and we organize a range of professional events throughout the year. MScSM also offers a substantive series of professional development sessions. Examples include:

Aside from workshops and seminars, MScSM students participate heavily in networking events, both on and off campus. Examples include:

  • Sustainability Careers Day: students participate in speed-networking with a diverse range of professionals from different sectors
  • Sustainability Career Panels: students hear from professionals working across disciplines 
  • Sustainability Conference Day: students hear from keynotes and panelists

Speaker Series

As part of our commitment to helping students connect to industry professionals, our Speaker Series brings experienced professionals to speak to the class on a regular basis. Speakers cover sustainability in their industry and firm, and offer insight into career paths as well as challenges and opportunities for grads.

Annual Sustainability Careers Day

Each year, we host a large-scale networking event designed to connect students with businesses in order to learn about career paths and future professional options. This 1:1 or small-group conversational format makes for an enjoyable afternoon for students and professionals alike.
