Northern Governments in Transition: Political and Constitutional Development in the Yukon, Nunavut and the Western Northwest Territories – Graham White
Much of the debate over the future of the Canadian federal state centres around either the demands of Quebec or the grievances of the western provinces. Largely ignored in this debate are the aspirations of the peoples who live in the 40 per cent of Canada's land mass known as Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Yet, it is 'north of 60' in which the most dynamic and creative constitutional and political developments are occurring — they are also probably the least understood. Kirk Cameron and Graham White's contribution is therefore valuable and timely to the study of government and politics in the Canadian North and to understanding the development of federal political orders.
