Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in 2007, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She went on to obtain her Master of Arts in English from Wilfrid Laurier University, and has completed additional postgraduate certificates in writing and student services through the University of Toronto and Seneca College.

Since returning to the University of Toronto as a staff member in 2009, Sarah has worked in several administrative positions focusing on providing a high level of service and support to students, staff and faculty members in the university community. Most recently, she coordinated the academic human resources processes for the Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine.

Outside of the university, Sarah is an avid reader and volunteers with the CNIB.
