UTM Vice-President & Principal Alexandra Gillespie welcomes you to campus
“This is going to be a big year for all the places we have here at UTM,” says University of Toronto Mississauga Vice-President and Principal Alexandra Gillespie, who welcomed the UTM community to the campus for the 2024-2025 academic year in a new video address.
She notes that the second-annual All-Nations Powwow takes place on the field outside Maanjiwe nendamowinan on Sept. 28. This is also the first fall that the UTM community will be able to access the Student Services Hub, a one-stop shop for students in the William G. Davis Building, and the New Science Building, the campus home for life science research, entrepreneurship and graduate education.
"There's a lot to get excited about this year everywhere you go," says Gillespie. She encourages students to forge connection: "Connect with great people, professors, teaching assistants, staff members, friends. They're the people who make this place a community."
