Dr. Xinliang Jiang graduated from Newcastle University in the UK with a PhD in Linguistics, focusing on second language acquisition and phonetics and phonology. He has taught linguistics courses and Chinese language courses at Newcastle University and Durham University, respectively. He is currently a sessional lecturer at the University of Toronto Mississauga. His current research interests include: second language acquisition of Chinese and pedagogy, Chinese teaching assisted by AI Tools (ChatGPT), and Chinese and English phonetics and phonology. Outside of research, he also enjoys traveling, photography, and collecting stamps.
