Gabrielle is a PhD candidate in the Language and Literacies Education PhD program at OISE. She is interested in French as a second language (FSL) teaching and learning in the Canadian context, and more specifically, French immersion (FI) programs in Ontario with a focus on aspects such as student goals and motivations and the development of sociolinguistic competence of learners. She is also an OCT certified teacher and teaches French immersion at the elementary school level. Gabrielle’s non-academic interests include reading, photography, baking, and yoga.
