Launching September 2024: Certificate in Computational Linguistics​

Language and computational skills are made for each other!​

Language technology is a large field of employment​, and computational techniques are extremely useful in analyzing linguistic data.

If you're:​

• in a computer science program (CSC) and you have an interest in language,​ or

• you're majoring in linguistics (LIN) and you're interested in learning about computing,

the Certificate in ​Computational Linguistics​ (ERCER2021)​ is for you!​

What does it involve? 

• Two 0.5 FCE core advanced courses: 
  • LIN340H5 (Computing with Natural Language) and 
  • LIN341​H5 (Linguistics and Computation)
• One 0.5 FCE elective in CSC or LIN​ (selected from eligible courses)

How does it work?​

• Declare the certificate on ACORN​
