UTM Teaching Excellence Award Winner for Junior Faculty - Dr. Teresa Lobalsamo
We are delighted and thrilled to announce that Prof. Teresa Lobalsamo is this year’s winner of the UTM Teaching Excellence Award for Junior Faculty.
Congratulations, Teresa, for this achievement and public recognition of your outstanding work! Teresa has added her name to the long list of faculty in our Department who have been recognized as excellent teachers at UTM or the entire University: Charles Elkabas, Michael Lettieri, Katherine Rehner, the late Guido Pugliese, and David Trott. Many of our Teaching Assistants, Lecturers and Sessionals have also recognized. Language Studies counts five (5) UTM Teaching Excellence Award winners, one (1) President’s Teaching Academy award winner (Michael Lettieri), and one UTM Service Excellence Award (Rosa Ciantar), a record of which to be truly proud of.
Our gratitude also goes to Dr. Adriana Grimaldi who coordinated and assembled the winning nomination package. This represents a tremendous amount of work and her dedication is to be commended. To all faculty and friends who contributed with letters and encouragement, thank you. Because of your support, Teresa’s recognition “makes all of us look good” (dixit Michael), as shown by the congratulatory message of the Vice-President and Principal.
